The name of Kalpana Chawla is considered one of the great personalities. She is known as the first Indian woman to go into space. Although Kalpana Chawla was Indian in origin, but her name became famous in the country and abroad as well as she illuminated the name of India. Early Life of Kalpana Chawla

Kalpana Chawla was born on 17 March 1962 in Karnal, Haryana. She is always seen as the great personality of India. His father's name was Shri Banarasi Lal Chawla and mother's name was Sajyoti Devi. She had four siblings in all, of whom she was the youngest. The people of the house loved him very much and he was affectionately called as Montu. Since childhood, Kalpana Chawla had a desire to go to space after studying well.

Education of Kalpana Chawla

Kalpana Chawla completed her early education from Tagore Public School in Karnal. She was an average student. But, he was interested in planes since childhood. After this he received education in aeronautical engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. In 1982, she went to America. In 1984, he received an MS in Spacecraft Engineering from the 'University of Texas'. degree obtained. In 1986, he completed his second M.S. Diggory and 'University of Colorado' in 1988 AD, USA. from Ph.D. degree obtained.

His space career with NASA

She joined NASA as the Vice President of Overset Methods, Inc. In 1995, she joined the NASA space team and was selected for her first flight in 1996. Kalpana's first space mission started in 1997 AD. He, along with the other five astronauts, joined the 'Columbia-S. T.S. 87' flew from the spacecraft. But, that campaign could not be successful. In 2003 AD, he was again 'Columbia S. Became a part of the 'TS-107' crew and went to space. This team conducted about 80 experiments in space. 'Columbia' was returning from expedition on 1 February 2003. Unfortunately, it perished when it entered Earth's atmosphere over Texas. All the members of the team lost their lives. This was the last expedition of Kalpana's life.

Achievements of Kalpana Chawla

Kalpana Chawla's name is always included in the list of brave women, where she has been given many honors and awards like, NASA Space Flight Medal, NASA Vishisht Service Medal, Congressional Space Medal of Honor. The name of Kalpana Chawla is always taken with pride and along with it the youth of the country also want to illuminate the name of the country like Kalpana Chawla. He has always inspired the youth to move forward.

Although Kalpana held American citizenship, her love for India remained the same. She was a brave woman. Her life is an example for other women. She was very ambitious and courageous.
