Christians also have some festivals. But, Christmas is the most important festival among them. Christmas, a Christian holiday honoring the birth of Jesus, has developed into a worldwide religious and secular celebration, with many pre-Christian and pagan traditions in the festivities. It is celebrated every year on 25 December. Christmas is a great celebration of joy and happiness. It is celebrated every year in winter on 25 December on the occasion of the birthday of Lord Isha (founder of Christianity). The markets come alive during Christmas. Shops selling items related to Christmas are decorated. Large hotels, restaurants and malls are also decorated. Christians decorate their homes. They use balloons, colored papers, bells, flowers and candles for this. They wear new clothes.

An artificial Christmas tree is brought on the occasion of Christmas. It is decorated with bells, lights, balloons and stars. Some gifts are also tied on its branches. Christmas-puddings and cakes are made. People go to visit their respective friends and relatives. They exchange gifts. They wish each other 'Merry Christmas'. There is also a beautiful practice of giving each other Christmas cards. Children are very happy on this day.

Santa Claus goes to everyone's house during the night and distributes gifts to them, especially he gives funny gifts to children. Children eagerly wait for Santa and this day. He asks his parents when Santa will come and finally the wait for the kids ends and Santa arrives at 12 midnight with lots of presents.

Special prayers are held in churches. People sing Christmas hymns. They confess their mistakes to the Lord and seek his blessings. Everyone is beautifully dressed in new clothes. Children wait for Santa Claus. He (Santa Claus) wears red and white clothes. They bring gifts and sweets for them (children).

Cake has a lot of importance on this day. People also give cakes to each other as a gift and invite them to the feast. Christians make different types of cakes in their homes. On this day people decorate the Christmas tree, celebrate with their friends, relatives and neighbors and distribute gifts. On the midnight of this day, at 12 o'clock, Santa Claus comes to everyone's house and quietly keeps lovely gifts for the children in their homes. Children are also very happy to receive gifts of their choice the very next morning. All schools, colleges, universities, offices and other government and non-government institutions are closed on this day. People enjoy it as Christmas holiday by doing lots of activities throughout the day.

The festival of Christmas brings happiness, peace and gifts to all the people. That is why this festival has crossed the boundaries of religion. Now it is also celebrated by people of other religions. Such festivals bring us closer to each other and promote brotherhood.
